Artemis Aquatics Announces 2025 State Team

A Season of Firsts, Fast Swimming, and Rising Stars

Artemis Aquatics is proud to announce our 2025 State Age Championships Team, featuring 11 dedicated swimmers who have earned their place among Victoria’s best. This year marks an especially exciting milestone for the program, with several swimmers qualifying for the first time—an achievement that reflects their hard work, passion, and commitment to consistent improvement.

From breakthrough races to finals appearances, the 2025 State Team showcases the depth and growing strength of Artemis Aquatics as a competitive squad. We congratulate every athlete selected and wish them all the very best as they dive into racing over the coming week.

Season Highlights and Swimmer Stories

While every swimmer on the team has carved their own path to State Age, a few standout moments define the spirit of this year’s group: determination, resilience, and belief.

Jo Lou – Silver Medallist & Dual Finalist

One of the most exciting storylines of the meet came from Jo, who delivered two outstanding performances in the sprint events.

  • 50m Breaststroke – Finalist,
  • 50m Freestyle – Finalist, Silver Medallist.

Jo stormed into both finals with confidence, executing world-class race skills under pressure. Her second-place finish in the 50 Freestyle earned her a State silver medal, a moment that reflects years of work, focus, and technical development. Jo’s success has inspired swimmers across the program and set a new benchmark for Artemis sprinting.

First-Time Qualifiers Step Up

This year welcomes a wave of first-time State Age qualifiers—an achievement that cannot be overstated. For many, this season represented a turning point: mastering race strategy, committing to early mornings, and learning what it means to train with intent. Their presence on the 2025 team signals exciting things ahead for Artemis Aquatics.

A Growing Program, A Rising Culture

With athletes representing multiple age groups and events across the competition schedule, our 2025 State Team reflects the evolution of Artemis Aquatics into a strong, united, and ambitious program. The swimmers have embraced the challenge, supported one another, and shown what can happen when a team commits to a shared vision.

Looking Ahead

While we are just days away from racing at the Victorian Age Championships, a number of our swimmers will continue working hard throughout the Christmas and New Year period as they push to secure their place on the Artemis Aquatics National Team. Throughout the season, our swimmers have trained with clear intent, driving toward qualification for the Australian Age Championships in April.   Whether it’s a personal best, a breakthrough heat swim, a finals appearance, or a medal moment, we look forward to celebrating every achievement along the way.

Congratulations once again to all 11 swimmers representing Artemis Aquatics at the 2025 State Age Championships.
Go Artemis!
