ABOUT

Our Gymnastics program comprises recreational and advanced squad streams, designed for children of all abilities. 

Exclusively to our school holiday program, the Artemis Centre invites both MGGS students and members of the wider Community to participate in our Tumbling program. 

Our JETs program is only available to existing Mini JETs, JETs Gymnastics and JETs Tumbling squad members.

 

Please note:

  • You will be registering for the same class and time each day it is offered.
  • To attend multiple weeks, you will need to sign up to each weeks’ programs.
  • You are not able to sign up for individual days, the programs are only offered as listed.

 

Class Types

Foundation Gymnastics

  • Duration: 45 – 60 minutes.
  • Age Group: 4 years – Year 4.
  • Level: Introductory.
  • Location: Artemis Jumpstart Room.
  • Objectives: Recreational gymnastics program guiding participants through a series of basic gymnastics skills as well as other important characteristics such as flexibility, strength, coordination and spatial awareness.
 

Mini JETs Gymnastics

  • Duration: 4 hours.
  • Age Group: Prep – Year 2.
  • Level: Intermediate – Advanced.
  • Location: State Gymnastics Centre.
  • Objectives: Invitation-only, advanced recreational program. Selection is based on the skill level and behaviour expressed by the student throughout the Foundation program.
 

JETs Gymnastics

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Age Group: Year 3 – Year 4.
  • Level: Intermediate – Advanced.
  • Location: Artemis Team Zone.
  • Objectives: Invitation-only, non-competitive program designed to build upon the skills gained in Foundation Gymnastics and aims to progress students’ skills to best prepare them for participation in other acrobatic sports such as competitive cheerleading, diving and trampolining.
 

Tumbling

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Age Group: Year 5 – Year 12.
  • Level: Introductory – Intermediate.
  • Location: Artemis Team Zone.
  • Objectives: Classes are open ability, which means we accept all skill levels. Learn to flip and move in a safe, encouraging and progressive environment. Students drive the direction of their learning and are provided with multiple drills and activities to tailor the program to assist them with reaching their goals.
 

JETs Tumbling

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Age Group: Year 5 – Year 12.
  • Level: Intermediate – Advanced.
  • Location: Artemis Team Zone.
  • Objectives: Invitation-only, advanced recreational gymnastics skills that align to the Australian Levels Program (ALP) Level 1 to 3 for Tumbling. Develop the strength, flexibility, coordination, spatial awareness and focus of gymnastics which boosts skill improvement and increases acrobatic ability.
