WINTER HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Registrations open Wednesday 27 May via Envibe!

ABOUT

The Artemis Gymnastics holiday program for ELC to Year 4 students offer a faster-paced skill progression to introduce a wide range of skills to students whilst also maintaining many of our spatial awareness activities to develop whole body coordination, balance, strength and movement skills. The coaches tailor sessions to improve upon foundational skills across the week, working through skill progressions on each apparatus to develop new skills and strengthen foundational skills within gymnastics.

Our combined Year 1-Year 4 Foundation Gymnastics program introduces our younger students to some of the more advanced skills offered in the Year 3 – Year 4 Foundation Gymnastics program and is a great opportunity for students to collaborate with those in different year levels. Each activity offered to students has set progressions so each student can feel challenged and develop skills at their own pace.

For our older students, we offer a 2-hour combined Tumbling and Trampoline class where students can experience new gym-sports alongside building flexibility, confidence and teamwork on a mixture of apparatus including our Olympic Trampoline.

Our classes involve a range of activities including stretching, shaping, focused skill development and open skill development where students can explore and develop the skills that interest them and receive individualised coaching and drills to work towards performing skills that interest them within the program.

Our trampoline program offers a pathway into competitive gymnastics for students and community members as it works to build the skills and routines involved in inter-club and state level competitions.

We also have many of our cheerleading students participate in the program to develop new skills such as roundoffs, bridges and walkovers which can be used within their competition routine and increase the overall difficulty and level of the team performance.

The Artemis Centre invites both MGGS students and members of the wider Community to participate in our Foundation Gymnastics program.
