Artemis Aquatics provides an enjoyable, safe and healthy environment to develop swimming skills and promote an active lifestyle.
About the Program
Artemis Aquatics was founded in 2017 to inspire our community to become the swimmer they want to be by providing high quality coaching and learning experiences in skill and athletic development across a range of aquatic pursuits. This includes competitive swimming, water polo, royal lifesaving, surf lifesaving, triathlon, swimming for fitness or recreation, and open water swimming.
We celebrate in providing an enjoyable, safe and healthy environment in which our swimmers can develop their skills and self-confidence for a lifelong affinity with the water, delivering classes and squad programs to suit a range of ages and abilities to cater for personal growth and development within a clear and progressive pathway.
Artemis Aquatics is comprised of a high quality Learn to Swim Program and a Swimming Club which caters for swimmers at all levels from junior, development and recreational squads, through to elite swimmers competing at a State and National level.

- Aged four (4) years or older (kinder)
- In primary school (Prep–Year 4)
Pre-Squad classes are for swimmers who can swim 50m comfortably without stopping.

Swimmers must have a state qualifying time (or be within 2 seconds) to train with the performance squad.
If your child is placed in a class or squad that doesn’t suit their ability, a staff member will be in touch to advise and organise a change of class/program.
Absolutely. We welcome all swimmers to try our Club for a two week consecutive period at no charge, after which point we will be seeking confirmation of commitment to join or not.
If you decide to join, coaching and membership fees apply for the term.
Certain meets require participants to have swum a prior qualifying time at a recognised club meet. State Championships and National Championships are typical events where qualifying times are used so that minimum standards apply. Importantly, qualifying times ensure the meet runs efficiently and restricts the length of the time the swim meet runs.
Qualifying times for each event vary from meet to meet and from year to year. For example, time restrictions will be higher for State and National Championships to attract the top swimmers in the state or country.
Updated qualifying times are listed in the competition section of the Swimming Victoria website.
